The burning question I have about Tucson and TEP is how this affects those of us TEP customers who don't live in the city's jurisdiction. Who is monitoring our interests?

This is a good question. I see the legal wrangling happening between the county and Tucson Water. I wonder if there would be similar issues?

How about breaking down how the public safety part of 414 is to be spent… helicopters or cops on the street?

That’s not, uh, how electric cars work. Going faster only makes the battery drain faster.

Utility companies, mines, agricultural fields all owned by foreign companies is not a good thing. Their only concern is profit and they have no real connection to Arizona and its residents. Government owned and regulated should lower costs and give Tucson residents more control.

Speaking of road repairs….our neighborhood got “repaved” at the end of the year. I was so excited when it started because the roads were so awful. Well, keep your expectations very low when they come to your neighborhood. What a pathetic job of repaving. Every single bump and crack is still there….with a coat of black over it. What a letdown. I don’t think you can call it repaving.

Saddlewood Ranch Rd going into the Highland Ranch neighborhood is just one big embarrassment.

This sounds like your road was given sealcoat rather than it being repaved. This is common in municipal maintenance of roads, a seal coat doesn't fix the roads it essentially extends the lifespan of the pavement by preventing cracks and deterioration. If you e-mail me your address (Joe@tucsonagenda.com) I can check the County/City records.
