GOP candidate Vince Leach wants to take back the LD 17 Senate seat from Wadsack ... He says his eight years in the Legislature make him the better choice ... Roadrunners not running away.
Hey, Pamela. This debate was just for GOP candidates. As far as I know, Clean Elections isn't doing one for the Dem candidates. Neither of them has an opponent in the primary.
I see from the CCEC website that only R's were invited, so I stand corrected. Maybe they changed their rules? Republican Ana Henderson participated in the primary and general debates in 2016 and 2018, even though she had no Republican opponent. Three Dems ran in both of those primaries. I think candidates -- including incumbents -- should participate in debates to reach regular voters. Not everyone gets an invitation to a fancy donor party. The Clean Elections debates are well-watched. My 2 cents.
It says a lot that Ms. Wadsack and the other LD17 Republican candidates hid from the forum.
It says a lot that all of the Democratic candidates also hid from the forum.

When I was a candidate, everyone (Ds and Rs) was invited to the same debates.
